2024 Summer Concerts
Did you miss our concerts this year? The weather was beautiful and community interaction boosted by the great weather. Watch for next year’s July 2025 concert series.
Join the Kiwanis Clubs of Villa Park & Lombard for our annual (free) summer concerts. Kiwanis Wednesday concerts begin at 6:30 P.M. at the Ruggard Gazebo on the Prairie Path off of Ardmore Avenue between Pard and Central. Bring your family and chairs. Food and refreshments at nominal cost will be available at the Kiwanis Food tent starting 6:00 PM.
July 10 – St. John’s Lombard Praise Team: This crowd favorite returns to perform a variety of music including some of their much-loved popular hits.
July 17 – Rick Lindy and the Wild Ones: This Rockabilly group performs jukebox hits of the legends of rock and roll from the 50s and 60s including music of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, and many more.
July 24 – Full Volume Classic Rock: Full Volume is a high-energy rock band that brings you the songs you love from the ’70s, the ’80s, and ’90s.
July 31 – Lake Effect: My personal favorite, This 8-piece band has something for everyone featuring a great horn section, guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums. The band covers great music from Classic Rock, Swing and Rhythm and Blues.
August 16-17: Kiwanis District Convention in Peoria, Illinois
September: Don’t forget to pay our Annual Dues!
September 20 & 21st: Our Annual Peanut Days. Business sponsors needed!We will have members staffing stations at the Jewel in Villa Park AND Lombard from 9 AM to 4 PM. Proceeds support children in the Villa Park and Lombard areas.
October 1st: Annual Installation Banquet for the newly merged Kiwanis Club of Villa Park & Lombard. Join us for the installation of officers for 2024-2025 year, and formal recognition of the merger of Villa Park and Lombard clubs and our name change. We will gather 5:30 PM in the Warrior Room at Willowbrook High School. Menu includes: Greek Chicken, Roasted Potatoes, Grilled Vegetables and Pie. The meal will be catered by Simon’s Restaurant.
October 4th: Annual Night Golf Outing at Sugar Creek Golf Course, Villa Park, IL 60181. Mark your calendars now. Fun for golfers and non-golfers alike. Great Food, raffles and a wonderful time!
November 15: (Friday 5 PM to 6:45 PM): Delicious – yummy – wonderful Spaghetti Supper at Willowbrook High School. The Willowbrook High School Theater’s Fall Musical Production “The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee” follows dinner. Curtain time is 7 PM. Register here.
